  • BELIEVE IN MISTRUST (GERMANY)

This video work is the result of a collaboration between Akrobat and video artist erikA / Elio Purfürst and offers a visual rendition of Akrobat’s intricate and hybridic sound.

The nervous acoustic pressure of ‘Believe In Mistrust’ is accompanied by visual layers that depicts an abstract formation of deconstructed human bodies and seemingly organic, animate structures. Choreographed and maneuvering through an undefined space within dissolving dimensions, these jittery clusters mutate in scale and density and morph into some kind of cybernetic species.

Adopting a correlative approach to that of Akrobat’s musical composition, the video was produced through the merging of elaborate motion and editing experiments with multi-layered video montaging. Its captivating yet peculiarly glitchy aesthetic creates a certain beauty that withstands all chaos and it’s precarious conditions.

    Performed by: Glauber Mendes Silva
